Brother John, Sons Richard and Steve, Daughter Kate.

Barry was my wonderful father inlaw, He was a real family man and there wasnt anything he wouldnt do for his family, He never expected anything in return.
You could turn to him for any advice or if you had a problem he would help you sort it out,
After he took early retirement he worked with his wife Doreen (my mum in law) in a little gardening business they set up together, he was a very fit man.
That is why it came as such a shock when he developed cancer of the pancreas, and liver, He went downhill very fast and the only consolation is that he did not have a long suffering, He was such a wonderful person that god decided to take him to heaven early, he was only 62.
We all miss him so much and think of him all the time.
You Rest in peace Barry and Thankyou so much for being part of my life and for all that you did for me. I will never forget you.

♥ ♥ 'Christmas in Heaven' ♥ ♥ ♥

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
with tiny lights like heaven's stars reflecting on the snow.
....
The sight is so spectacular please wipe away that tear
for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
....
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
but the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.
....
I have no words to tell you of the joy their voices bring
for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.
....
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart
for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
....
I can't tell you of the splendor or the peace here in this place
Can you just imagine Christmas with our Savior face to face?
....
I'll ask him to lift your spirit as I tell you of your love
so then pray for one another as you lift your eyes above.
....
Please let your hearts be joyful and let your spirit sing
for I am spending Christmas in heaven and I'm walking with the King.

Memory Lane

There is a place in every heart,
They call it Memory Lane,
Where thoughts of loves ones lost
Forever will remain.

God made this special place
When He first created man,
For He knew it would be needed,
As part of our life's plan.

He knew when loved ones left us,
We'd need some time to heal,
To come to terms with sorrow
And the loneliness we'd feel.

So when you lose a loved one
And your life is filled with pain,
The comfort of their presence
Will be found in Memory Lane.

just passing by...

It only takes a moment to write these words for you,
To let you know you're in my thoughts, and you're loving family too xx

WHAT MAKES A DAD.

What Makes a Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad
